A fantastic stay just a block from Copacabana beach! The staff were incredibly friendly, and I appreciated the ample breakfast options. The room had a generous balcony with a beach view, perfect for morning coffee. It’s an older hotel, yet it has great charm and a cozy rooftop pool. Truly delightful!

This was just a strong match for a speedy visit in Rio de Janeiro with very good value for money. The breakfast staff was accommodating even though they cleared the food early, giving us some dried bread when we arrived late. Make sure to confirm meal times with staff to avoid any surprises.

Location right at the Copacabana beach area provides easy access to the boardwalk, making it a prime spot for beach lovers. The lobby creates an appealing first impression that misleads you about the actual room conditions and general maintenance.

The reality hits as soon as you step into the elevator. the floors show a stark contrast to the lobby's facade. Rooms feel dark and outdated with furniture reminiscent of the 1980s. Air conditioning units are as noisy as a ship's engine, making sleep a challenge. No complimentary Wi-Fi or safe usage included, with additional charges for basic amenities like a small safe that hardly fits a tablet. The rooftop garden is more of a postage stamp than an escape, with a pool that looks less than inviting due to lack of maintenance. Breakfast options feel underwhelming, especially for the price point that suggests a higher standard.

The room was decent, but it felt a bit outdated. The air conditioning worked well, which was a relief in the heat. Shower pressure was good, too. However, I wasn't a fan of the old fridge smell lingering in the room. Overall, it was clean enough, but definitely had some signs of wear.
